About Carol H. McLean


Originally from the foothills of North Carolina, Carol McLean has lived in the Raleigh area for over twenty years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from North Carolina State University. She later earned her Juris Doctor, graduating magna cum laude, in the top 10% of her class, from North Carolina Central University School of Law.

Carol was privileged to work as an intern at the North Carolina Court of Appeals in 2011, drafting judicial opinions and conducting legal research. In 2012, she interned at the Durham District Attorney’s office, conducting criminal bench trials and legal research.

Prior to launching a legal career, Carol served as a corporate Credit Manager and Legal Coordinator for a Raleigh-based marketing company with worldwide distribution networks. She implemented  credit policies, managed company credit risk, and worked on USDA regulatory litigation with attorneys in the U.S. and abroad. Carol also conducted corporate legal seminars on Contract and USDA Law across the US.
